rené riis is a danish photographer based in berlin since 2010. he specialises in food, still life and portraiture and has collaborated with internationally acclaimed chefs such as rené redzepi (noma, copenhagen) and alvin leung (bo innovation, hong kong) his portfolio boasts ad campaigns, international publications and more than 20 international wine and cookery books.
rené’s true passion is to work on personal photo projects where he explores the obscure. this is evident in his collaboration with the natural historic museum of denmark and his contribution to copenhagen photo week, 2010.
in 2013 rené riis collaborated with the historical møntergaarden museum, denmark, to realise a series of photos for the book and exhibition of the same name, funen - at the centre of the universe, about life on the island of funen throughout the ages.
